Florida Keys Flats Fishing

Shallow Water Fishing at its Best

BIG TARPON ACTION!

Capt Joel Dickey has been fly fishing for over 20 years. Joel grew up fly fishing for trout in North Georgia’s tail waters and small streams. He spent many days on the water to become an accomplished angler and guide for trout and land locked striper on fly. Joel expanded his passion for fly fishing when he started saltwater fly fishing a decade ago. He fell in love with the many challenging and powerful fish so he picked up his guide business and moved to the beautiful Florida Keys. Joel spends all his time searching for the  mighty tarpon or silverking as called by many, the ghost of the flats or the bonefish, and the permit the most challenging and frustrating fly caught fish in the world. Joel has also spent a season guiding in Alaska for the silver salmon or coho salmon. Joel is a pro staff guide for companies such as Ross Reels, Thomas and Thomas fly rods, Jim Teeny Fly Lines, and Patagonia technical clothing and as a certified casting instructor for the Federation of Fly Fisherman Joel turns your fishing experience into a learning experience for you to become a better caster and angler. Joel has also been tying flies for over a decade and has many “special patterns” that are proven to catch the often finicky fish that inhabit the shallow water flats of the Keys. Come on down to the keys and let’s go fishing for the catch of a lifetime!
